The second output of the „Afro-Cubans“ of Machito after „Mucho Macho Machito“ in 1948, mixing Latin sounds into Jazz, especially with the use of maracas, conga, timbales and bongo.
You will get the feeling pretty soon to being on a carribean-african mixed party. Some of the sax parts creating a high tension and will give you a strong reminder of James Bond themes.
But what really stands out on this album are the great and fast bongo/conga solos.
Overall is the album ephemeral and diversified, give it a try folks!
